mmm, Black Dragons Primaris marines.

Now that is a thought. Then again they didnt have their own gene sets that Cawl would have been able to "fix" so that is very unlikely.

Primaris chaplain, primaris apothecary, inceptors with moreweapons/(i guess) athmospheric drop protections for the helmets and aggressors

They sneaked quite a few things in :D

The chaplain is ace,the apothecary too (just hope he'll have an helòmet option like the librarian)

Incessors are still "meh but not bad",aggressors dont look bad

I was okay on the Primaris generally, but the Interceptors, Aggressors, Repulsors, and Reivers all really sink my boat.

The characters aren't too overburdened with detail too. Nice mix of ornamental without being daft.

Which is grand. Still plenty to do on the Deathwatch, Sisters of Silence and Custodes front!

Personally i'm pretty much ok-ish,at varying degrees, with everything they showed for the primaris so far excluding the dreadnought

Ok,they wanted to make a walker with a different profile compared to other dread but...A beer gut?...Was that the best option?
Also,i've the feeling the legs are too small for the upper body (compare and contrast with the leviathan)

Oh yeah, I didn't care for the Dreadnought either. It then I'm ambivalent about Redemptors and the less said about Deredeos the better.

Leviathans are cool, I suppose, if a bit... odd!

It's going to be interesting to see what's in the new codex. Hopefully it puts some more meat onto the Primaris, especially Primaris only chapters.

but you can blow up buildings more effectively and then shoot the survivors as they cower in the ruins.

sounds cracking.

And pretty much that only,sigh.

Got the codex in hand yesterday.
Of all small things,i liked the small piece of fluff they added for Kantor, with Guilliman pretty much telling that he reminds him of his brother Dorn and that D. himself would be proud of how Kantor managed to keep the CF from the abyss

Language, dear.

Also: I'm excited, all told. I'm really keen to see what's actually been going on in all the non-Guilliman bits of the Galaxy.

I need to get hold of this for my primaris project. Any mention of the Astral Knights?

Not that i've noticed

But the door is open to have them back as a primaris only/mainly primaris chapter. The codex itself brings many examples of chapter almost extinguished/dead that are reinforced/remade from primaris marines (black consuls, schytes, even the CF themselves [the great rift means a war for rynn's world v.2,against chaos forces this time,Kantor and co. are once again almost at extinction point but then the chapter goes back to full strenght with the primaris influx] for example )

I'd heard directly from Kairos Fateweaver's other mouth on the matter, supposedly, that that may not have been precisely what was intended. ;)

It wasn't foreshadowing, so much as... spoilers.

Still, I think the only thing out of kilter in this 'brave new world' is they've still not enacted my idea for Guilliman's first words in 9k years:

Guilliman stepped forth, ensnared in this xeno-heretical hell-suit.

A senior Tech-Priest, who could only be Bella Cawl. Several perfidious Xenos of the Aeldari breed. Was that... Veilwalker? The chronometers indicated late M41, byt that was surely impossible. So long and both Veilwalker and Cawl persist?

He looked for other faces to be recognised. None.

Even his scions, the Ultramarines, and the handful showing degenerate allegiance to Sigismonda's legacy, the Black Templars he caught noted in debased Inwitian script, bore a peculiar variant of identifier and armour-codifying, perhaps a result kf linguistic drift, perhaps radical changes in their operations. But the black-armoured warriors were still fighting. The abominable pressure of aether-kin pressed on the Primarchs.

He noted signifiers and heraldry that corresponded to librarians, their mental pressure acutely pressing in upon Guilliman.

They too bore an odd uniformity. Several captains and sergeants or maleific champions were arrayed amongst the Space Marines, Ultramarine and traitor-in-black alike.

Even the signifiers from from the Archmagos were distinct from their ancient forms. Only Sylandri, the power-armour golden warrior woman, and the crossbow-bolter wielding psyker marked any distinctiveness, yet none of them seemed pariahs of that detestable sisterhood.

A marshall, a castellan, sword-bearerd, lexicania to epistolery and chiefmost librarian, from the handful of ninth company devastators absent any honour markings, through to the supernumerary honour guard to the Ultramarines Chapter Master and their attendant captains, even the now-dead traitors in black and gold heraldry. Guilliman couldn't fathom it.

He felt his wounds heal beneath the heretek suit. Ha, how he had fallen for the superstitious flimflam used to include the power of Mars. Guilliman felt the wounds regenerate, Xenos insight no doubt, but the Primarchs project, what he had been able to discern, had never been what the layman might consider a "pure" endeavour

Despite all this and further wonders beside, the inexplicable detail remained. Fixing the supposed upper-echelons of the Ultramarines with the stern expression he had trusted most expedient in gaining short, sharp, obfuscationless admissions from those in positions of authority, he address his point simply.

"Chapter Master Marneus Calgar, Captains Agemann and Sicarius, Chief Tigurius, epistolaries, sergeants..."

They looked to the Avenging Son in increasing numinous awe, addressed by their immortal, unknowable liege; Lord Commander and proxy of the Immortal God-Emperor on Terra.

Guilliman articulated the conclusion of the question.

"...why are you all men?"
