While I posted this in my review thread, I felt it deserves it's own thread as well. Recently I read the debut novels of one Ishbelle Bee, both of which utterly enchanted me. This is a series that you have to read for yourself to truly understand, because frankly it's damn hard to explain exactly what this series is like to read. It's very engrossing for one thing, the prose sucks you in and doesn't let go, the characters are some of the most memorable i've ever read, and the stories are wonderfully insane and feel like a fairy tale written by Neil Gaiman and Quentin Tarantino. ... inary.html ... erfly.html

I would really encourage anyone here who is a fan of dark fantasy, Victorian-era urban fantasy or dark twists on fairy tales (think Neil Gaiman's take on them), I would strongly encourage you to pick up these books and give them a read. They are wonderful. Truly wonderful.
