I'd say reviving a thread that's two months short of a year old is ok, but any older, and that's terrible...

I'm keen to reiterate my stance on this: threadomancy is an art, much like history or archaeology, but also a fine practice whose skills should be kept sharp.

Mostly: it helps me realise that I've thought some of these thoughts - and traversed some of these conversations - not only before, but many times before.
