Arrow Season 3

Postby Lord of the Night » Wed Jul 09, 2014 10:05 pm

I have been reading about the recent cast additions made to Arrow for Season 3, and though there's only been four so far, and no sign of the new Big Bad yet, they are quite promising.

Devon Aoki as Tatsu Yamashiro (aka Katana) - One of Oliver's mentors in Hong Kong. Maseo's wife.
Karl Yune as Maseo Yamashiro - One of Oliver's mentors in Hong Kong. Tatsu's husband.
Peter Stormare as Werner Zytle (aka Count Vertigo) - The real incarnation of Count Vertigo in the show.
Brandon Rauth as Ray Palmer (aka The Atom) - The new owner of Queen Consolidated and a love interest for Felicity Smoak.

So we have two new superheroes in Katana and Atom, and a new supervillain in Count Vertigo. Since the Flash has introduced real superpowers into the CW's Arrowverse it may be possible that these three will keep their comic powers, which would help up the ante for Oliver now that Deathstroke has been dealt with. (Though hopefully not forever.)

I am very much looking forward to this next season of Arrow and seeing where it will take Oliver Queen.

Stephen Amell's younger brother Robbie Amell, who currently stars in Tomorrow People I believe? It is a superhero-ish show.

Well, TTP didn't get renewed for a second season so he has plenty of free time for The Flash.

Also, Season 3x01 Synposis. Potential Spoilers. http://www.greenarrowtv.com/arrow-seaso ... date/17975

Spoiler: In the aftermath of this victory, Season Three opens with Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen – not as long as the city needs The Arrow.

YES!

Spoiler: Olicity! After that fake-confession in the last episode of Season 2 I am very interested in seeing Oliver establish real feelings for Felicity.

Also that returning villain. Malcolm Merlyn. Gotta be.

TTP was always a tough sell for regular television. It was far too cliched and it didn't really properly leverage the characters.

A Two Hour-Crossover Event will take up Arrow and The Flash's 8th episodes respectively: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ ... /?a=103867. Also, Felicity Smoak will appear in The Flash's fourth episode, which will also feature Captain Cold, played by Prison Break actor Wentworth Miller.

Great to see Arrow and Flash working closely together. And really excited about Captain Cold being cast as well, not familiar with the actor but any of the Flash's rogues gallery being included is awesome. Speaking of which, I can't wait until the Forver Evil: Rogues Rebellion trade is released because I'm sure that will be high on my To Buy List come October (IIRC). Heard good things about that one.

I thought that program was dreadful. I dragged myself through the first half of the season before just giving up completely. Great (if not exactly original) concept, monstered by poor writing, bad acting and general dumbing down (I can only assume to try to appeal to the teeny market). Cliched is definitely the word (although 'crap' would cover it nicely too)

(EDIT - well excited for Arrow season 3 tho :) )

One thing I have been wondering about Arrow Season 3 is who the new Big Bad will be. First season we had Malcolm Meryln, Aka The Dark Archer, and for the second season we had Deathstroke, one of the biggest and most dangerous comic book supervillains across Marvel and DC. So who can top Deathstroke... they've revealed it at last.

Ra's Al Ghul. The freaking Demon's Head is coming to Starling City. Even Oliver and Malcolm Merlyn are afraid of him as we've seen in past episodes. Can't wait to find out whose playing Ra's, this could be Arrow's greatest season yet is Ra's truly is the next Big Bad. :D
